1878 $3 Dollar Gold Coin MS65

The 1878 $3 Dollar Gold Coin was minted by the United States Mint and was made out of a quarter-ounce of pure gold. The coin features a profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse, with her hair tied in a bun and wearing a headband inscribed “LIBERTY”. The reverse of the coin depicts an eagle in flight, with the denomination “3 DOLLARS” written in Roman numerals below. The coin has been graded Circulated Very Good (VG) 8 and is housed in a protective plastic holder.
